As the senior leader responsible for sales, marketing, dealer development, and product positioning across Canada and the U.S., I led revenue growth initiatives, operational improvements, and the full go-to-market strategy for Slide Clear’s operable glass wall systems (GLIDE, ClearFOLD, VertaSlide). My role bridged sales, marketing, production, engineering, and executive leadership, driving both strategic direction and hands-on execution. Core Responsibilities 1. Revenue Growth & Market Expansion • Developed and executed Slide Clear’s North American growth strategy, including expansion into the U.S. market with new facilities in Fort Worth, TX and Bellingham, WA. • Managed all sales channels: direct, dealer/distributor, architectural specification, and hospitality/commercial projects. • Created pricing matrices, freight models, quoting tools, and sales processes to support scalable revenue growth. • Identified, secured, and developed strategic partnerships (e.g., Outdoor Elements, StruXure PNW, Azenco, Four Seasons Sunrooms). 2. Dealer Network Development & Channel Enablement • Built and managed a dealer network across the U.S. and Canada; onboarded, trained, and supported partners through technical guidance, marketing resources, and sales coaching. • Developed the Dealer Portal, PicFlow galleries, and onboarding systems to support quick adoption and sales readiness. • Provided project-specific consulting and technical assistance to dealer sales teams competing against major industry players. 3. Marketing Strategy & Brand Positioning • Owned all marketing strategy, digital presence, messaging, and campaigns—including B2B lead generation, content creation, case studies, social media, and trade show collateral. • Rebuilt Slide Clear’s brand narrative to emphasize architectural design, technical expertise, and reliability. • Directed all product marketing assets: brochures, technical drawings, installation guides, project photography, videos, and specification packages. • Designed and delivered Lunch & Learn presentations to architects, designers, and developers, including AIA/IDCEC CEU-style content. 4. Product Management & Technical Expertise • Acted as product expert for GLIDE, ClearFOLD, and VertaSlide systems—including structural requirements, engineering constraints, panel sizing, wind-load considerations, and installation sequences. • Collaborated with engineering and production to refine designs, improve manufacturability, and align product configuration with real-world project demands. • Guided architects, GCs, structural engineers, and installers through complex projects involving multi-slide systems, steel supports, bracket design, curb heights, and weatherproofing. 5. Quoting Systems, Tools & Process Optimization • Built the GLIDE Configurator (Base44) logic, glass quoting tools, pricing matrices, freight calculators, and standardized workflows used across Canada and the U.S. • Reduced quoting errors and improved speed by creating standardized documentation, templates, and repeatable systems. • Supported production scheduling, procurement, and installation coordination through detailed project oversight. 6. Cross-Functional Leadership • Served as the bridge between sales, marketing, engineering, production, and executive leadership. • Led internal strategy discussions, forecasting, and reporting for Canadian and U.S. operations. • Supported U.S. start-up operations with processes, documentation, marketing frameworks, and dealer onboarding. Notable Contributions & Achievements • Positioned Slide Clear as the preferred operable glass wall supplier for hospitality, high-end residential, and multifamily developments. • Supported major projects including national restaurant groups, luxury homes, commercial patios, and dealer installations across North America. • Modernized the company’s commercial presence through improved branding, technical assets, case studies, and sales systems. • Acted as the company’s public-facing voice for architects, developers, and construction partners, increasing inbound leads and market visibility. • Strengthened internal structure during periods of financial and operational instability—reducing chaos and preserving client relationships.
At Longboard, I played a key role in expanding brand awareness, driving architectural specification, and supporting major commercial projects across North America. Project Acquisition & Client Consulting • Supported the full lifecycle of commercial and residential projects—from concept and design intent to tendering, installation, and warranty coordination. • Consulted directly with architects and project teams on system selection, rainscreen principles, code compliance, and technical detailing. • Helped clients compare Longboard systems to competing products (e.g., composite panels, real wood, fiber cement) to determine best-fit solutions. 3. Sales & Pipeline Development • Prospected and nurtured relationships with new accounts, distributors, and general contractors to grow sales volume and territory market share. • Managed a robust pipeline of multifamily, institutional, commercial, and high-end residential projects across North America. • Collaborated with the internal estimating team to deliver accurate quotes and support competitive bids. 4. Technical Support & Product Knowledge • Developed deep technical expertise in Longboard’s aluminum products—including profiles, installation systems, powder-coated finishes, fire ratings, and warranty considerations. • Guided contractors and installers on installation requirements, shop drawing interpretation, and compatibility with different wall assemblies and substrates. • Assisted in resolving site issues through proactive communication with project managers, site supervisors, and internal support teams. Notable Contributions & Achievements • Drove strong architectural adoption of Longboard across key Western Canadian markets. • Played a central role in winning specifications for several high-profile multifamily and commercial projects. • Strengthened Longboard’s reputation among architects by providing highly credible, technical, and design-focused support. • Supported the company’s transition from a growing manufacturer into a nationally recognized architectural brand.
